First steps

The first step is to get in touch and let us know what you want to achieve - where you want the garden room, what you want it to feel like, and what your budget is.

 

We’ll give you a straightforward and honest assessment of the potential from the outset.

Initial appraisal

We can then continue the conversation on a video call. This often gives you the chance to show us around your site and give us a better sense of how your garden room would fit in its context. We’ll also discuss your intended build route, level of involvement and confirm your budget range.

 

Many outbuildings can be achieved under permitted development, but there are different restrictions depending on the site. We will discuss these with you during this initial appraisal. In certain cases, more detailed research may be required.

Services quote

From this meeting you will have a better idea of what can be achieved within your budget.

 

We can then prepare a quote for our services. This will vary depending on your build route and the size of the project, but we’ll also outline any other potential consultant costs or likely planning or building regulations requirements.

 

When you're ready to proceed we then move on to the design stages. 

 

 

Site analysis & design

For imagination to grow into a design proposal, much like a plant, we need the right conditions.

 

For us that means gathering the necessary site information, context, and your requirements to formulate a bespoke design brief.

From this we can develop a design proposal with an indicative budget. Once you are happy with the design, we will start putting together the appropriate build package.

Price & build

For that imagination to truly flourish, we then need preparation and care.  

 

If you’re a complete self-builder, we’ll give you a set of drawings and a materials and plant estimate break down generated from contemporary pricing software. If you’re self-managing, but not planning on carrying out the works yourself, we will add in a labour estimate too. For a turnkey build this will be more of a final price quote, with additional elements as required – such as new service connections say.
